Guitarist and composer Steven Bilodeau is a graduate from McGill University's Jazz Performance Program with Outstanding Achievement in Jazz Guitar. Steve has been playing and performing on his instrument for over 15 years and has studied with world-renowned jazz musicians including: Jerry Bergonzi, Brad Shepik, Frank Carlberg, Jason Moran, Miguel Zenon, Bob Moses, Billy Hart and Cecil Mcbee. Steve has also been teaching guitar for over 10 years including 2 years of full-time teaching work with students of all ages. In 2014 Steve was selected as one of 25 young musicians from across the globe to attend the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Recently, Steve was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Banff Jazz and Creative Music program led by pianist Vijay Iyer in Banff, Alberta, Canada in August 2015. Currently, Steve recently graduated with his Master’s degree in jazz guitar performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
